Mmmm that’s Tasty
If you are
in a hurry but still want a delicious meal that looks gourmet, Tasty videos are
the way to go. With over 8 million followers on Facebook and 7.8 million on Instagram,
Tasty shares quick instructional videos on how to make comforting, snacks,
meals, appetizers, drinks and dessert. Pretty much anything you are craving,
Tasty will have a recipe for it.
It is pretty
much impossible to scroll through my Facebook feed without seeing numerous
tasty videos either shared by my friends or posted from Tasty. As most of the
videos are one minute or less, it is easy to get mesmerized by the food and
binge watch several at a time. Instead of lengthy written descriptions the
videos show the viewer how to make the food. This allows the viewers to
remember numerous videos for the next time they go to the grocery. The videos contain
an array of recipes as well as categories that include “#TastyHappyHour,
#TastyJunior, 4 ways to make anything, and a category with all the videos.
The main
promotional Item of Tasty is their cookbook. Facebook, which has the most Tasty
followers out of all the social media outlets, promotes their cookbook in their
cover photo as seen below:
Instagram is a close second and has in its biography a link
to purchase the tasty video. Additionally, Twitter frequently alternates posts
between food videos and cookbook promotions. To keep things fresh, Tasty is
currently promoting valentine’s special edition to the cookbook. The company
also allows people to make a customized cookbook with their favorite recipes
which makes for a perfect gift.
The standardized book offers seven categories of the buyer’s
choice. Other potential categories that may be selected include: light meals,
one pot wonders, pasta & bakes, 5 items or less and more. Each category has
an emoji next to it to keep up with the modern social media vibes it presents.
Talking about these videos has made me hungry… I think its
time I go make a snack from the latest Tasty Video!
